Pennslyvania pipe carver Thomas James has made a variety of classic brandy pipes. This particular pipe was
commissioned by a collector who desired a rusticated bent brandy with a black acrylic mouthpiece. A natural sliver
of smooth briar was left between the shank and stem, which leads to the nomenclature panel on the underside where
the crafter's initials, "Tj" are hand engraved.
