Handcarved hawkbills are a very popular request for Thomas James! This particular pipe was commissioned by a
collector who desired an all black tobacco bowl and a black acrylic mouthpiece. The narrow concave rim is smooth
and a natural sliver of smooth briar was left between the shank and stem to lead to the nomenclature panel on the
underside of the blackhawk.
